Experimental investigation of convective heat transfer for night ventilation in case of mixing ventilation

The purpose of night ventilation (NV) is to improve building energy and thermal comfort performance. key accurately predicting NV performance selecting the appropriate convective heat transfer coefficient (CHTC) at different surfaces built environment. current CHTC correlations used in simulation tools are limited prevent accurate modeling strategies. mass activation also an important factor influence efficiency NV. A series dynamic full-scale experiments with ten distribution schemes, four air change rates per hour (ACH), two inlet temperatures was conducted derive CHTCs test room during case mixing ventilation. results show that existing did not predict for most cases.
